Althea Edwards is not only one of Living in a Wildlife Corridor’s exhibiting photographers, but also one of the show’s main curators! During this Artist Talk Althea will discuss her personal creative practice and share her experience of bringing the exhibition together. She’ll delve into the intricate process of selecting (and not-selecting) individual artworks and curating them to be in conversation with one another — all in service of the greater theme of the show.

Althea was born and raised in Northeast Los Angeles. In 2008, in partnership with Frank Magallanes, she opened Studio 5150, a boutique photographic and visual arts workshop. When not serving their clients, Althea and Frank focus their creativity on subjects of social and environmental significance, sharing stories they feel highlight cultural perseverance, community engagement, and how we as a species experience and interact with our world.
