Join renowned camera trap photographer Johanna Turner for an interactive presentation on the location scouting, camera and lighting set-up, workflow, and editing process of taking successful remote photographs in the wild. Johanna will be sharing her technological set-up, stories from the field, and tips on equipment that will be helpful for anyone interested in the medium. With camera traps on site for you to examine and try out, whether you’re already an accomplished camera trap photographer, or you’re just starting out and would like to see what animals are passing through your yard, this presentation will be enlightening and informative!
Johanna Turner started trail camera photography in 2009, and has since become a huge advocate for wildlife conservation. Professionally, she has filmed wildlife for Disney+, Apple TV+, National Geographic, and has been published in Discover Magazine, LA Times, and several academic journals and books. She is also on the advisory committee for the Cougar Conservancy, which works to reduce human-wildlife conflicts and help preserve mountain lion populations.
