Field Trip Docent Training Series: Avifauna
September 5, 2024 @ 8:30 am - 11:30 am
Register for AFC’s Fall Field Trip Docent Training Series at the Rosemont Preserve! Our trainings are led by local experts and are an opportunity to become knowledgeable on the native plants, geology, and bird species of our region. With these skills, you can help connect youth to nature by guiding field trips for K-12 students throughout the school year! In addition to trainings, we offer optional review sessions where you can test your knowledge, practice guiding tours, and learn techniques for working with young students. Volunteers must attend each training day and be available to lead at least four (4) trips each school year. Trips take place Wednesday-Friday mornings at Rosemont during the school year (typically from September – June).
