We need your help connecting students from across LA County to nature! Become an AFC Field Trip Docent and be a part of this essential work.
At our Docent Trainings, we will prepare you to lead K-12 students from across the county on impactful nature field trips by covering topics like native plants, geology, and local bird species. This training includes opportunities for current docents to review materials, practice leading tours, and learn effective youth engagement techniques – so whether you’re new to our Conservation through Education program or have already led a field trip – this event is for you!

AFC’s geology training covers a wide variety of concepts from plate tectonics to watersheds to the rock cycle. Learn the geology of the Rosemont Preserve and become a field trip leader!
