Rosemont Preserve Habitat Restoration *Part of LA Climate Week*

Come and join us for a morning of fun restoring the natural habitat at the Rosemont Preserve. This event is part of Los Angeles Climate Week! Join us for a brief presentation on stormwater capture as a tool to mitigate the impacts of climate change. After, you’ll help maintain the Preserve’s bioswale and surrounding habitat. Bring your family and friends and help us tidy up the Preserve in preparation for upcoming field trips.

Los Angeles Climate Week runs from April 6th – 13th; during this week you can learn from climate organizations, policymakers, innovators, companies, and changemakers from across LA and beyond on innovative climate change solutions. Please wear sturdy shoes, comfortable work clothes and garden gloves (long pants and sleeves are recommended.) If you have any of the following tools, please consider bringing them: shovels, spades, loppers, hatchets, clippers. Other tools and equipment will be available.
The Preserve is located in La Crescenta at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence. Directions: Exit La Crescenta Avenue off 210 fwy, proceed north to Foothill Blvd., turn right to Rosemont Avenue, turn left. Parking is available at Two Strike Park which is on the left side of Rosemont Avenue, 2 blocks before you get to the preserve (5107 Rosemont Ave).

  • 210 Freeway – exit at La Crescenta Ave
  • Turn right/north on La Crescenta Ave
  • Turn right/east on Foothill Boulevard
  • Turn left/north at Rosemont Ave
  • Rosemont Preserve is at the top of Rosemont Avenue
  • Alternate parking at Two Strike Park 5107 Rosemont Avenue
