Stewarding Sycamore Canyon: Launch Event for the Friends of Sycamore

Please join Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy and the Chevy Chase Estates Association at the Chevy Chase Library to learn more about Sycamore Canyon Preserve, and how you can become a part of the effort to restore and protect it!
At this community event you will hear from AFC’s Land Manager & Community Liaison Tim Martinez on the importance of Sycamore Canyon as a wildlife corridor and what actions AFC is taking to enhance the nature and biodiversity of the area, and to promote co-existence with wildlife in Chevy Chase Canyon.
You will also have the opportunity to become a founding member of the Friends of Sycamore Canyon, a group of committed community members who will support the restoration of the property and educate the surrounding community on the importance of this natural habitat. This is a special opportunity to do meaningful conservation work by joining the stewardship effort in its initial formation!
