*This event is for volunteers ages 18 and over.*

Join AFC at the Sunshine Preserve in Glendale! Help restore habitat, removing invasive plants and making room for native ones. Bring work gloves and water, and wear sturdy shoes. If available to you, we also recommend bringing a tool such as a shovel, hand pruner, or trowel.

Due to the steep hills we will be working on during this event, we ask that only volunteers over the age of 18 attend. Children are welcome at our next Sunshine restoration on April 19th.  Click HERE to sign up – signing up is encouraged but not required.

Volunteers meet at Sunshine Preserve. Street parking is available on Sunshine Drive before Sandringham. Email the Friends of Sunshine at [email protected] with questions or for more information.

Directions to Sunshine Preserve:

• Glendale freeway (2) – exit Mountain Street
• Head west on E. Mountain St
• Turn right/north at N. Verdugo Road
• Keep left at the Y to continue onto Canada Blvd.
• Turn left at Colina Drive
• Continue straight on Sunshine Drive rather turning right on Colina
• Continue straight at Polaris Drive
• Sunshine Preserve is on the right before the gate to Las Flores Motorway
