LA On The Move: Milkweed Giveaway

Celebrate Earth Month at Union Station for an “LA on the Move” exhibition walk through and milkweed giveaway!
Join Metro Art, ArtCenter College of Design, Data Vandals and Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy for a special exhibition walkthrough and milkweed plant giveaway supporting monarch butterfly migration. Meet the collaborators behind the exhibition, learn about wildlife movement across Los Angeles County, and take home a milkweed plant to support local pollinators.
Produced with the Data Vandals—an art team known for transforming data into captivating visual stories—this exhibition illustrates the importance of creating sustainable pathways for animals and insects alike.
After the artist walkthrough, join us to learn more about the region’s biodiversity and the role that urban species such as monarch butterflies and milkweed, a pivotal plant that is integral to monarch migration, play in maintaining balance. A native to nearly all of California’s ecoregions, milkweed is a powerful way to support our LA environment while caring for one of our most beloved travelers: monarch butterflies!
We’re looking for AFC Ambassadors who are excited to engage with community members and share about AFC’s work across our preserves, programs, and conservation efforts. Please click here to sign up for a 2-hour shift.
