    Join Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy for a Free Milkweed Giveaway at Cottonwood Canyon! AFC is working to restore critical habitat for monarch butterflies across our region. Habitat loss, pesticide use, and climate change have driven monarch populations down by more than 95% since the 1980s. Planting native milkweed is one of the most effective ways you can help—supporting monarch reproduction and rebuilding the habitat they depend on to survive. Milkweed will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. We'll have 225, one-gallon narrowleaf milkweed plants available, with a max of 3 per person.
