Roy Dunn likes to capture and expose the hidden world.

Originally an electronic engineer, he started his own business developing high-speed photographic flash systems, and in 2006 he retired to pursue his lifelong passion of photography. He’s renowned for his video and fine art “essence” portraiture. He also specialized in photographs of hummingbirds in flight, captured using high-speed flash techniques and equipment he developed himself.

Hear from Roy about his creative process, his thoughts on wildlife photography as it connects to the larger medium of photography, and hear his journey to becoming an artistic photographer.
