Recently John Howell, Chef Executive of AFC, was featured in Occidental College Magazine titled “Wide Open Spaces” by Andy Faught.

“Twelve-year-old John Howell ’71’s first camping trip looked like it might be his last. His father had taken Howell and a buddy to the Red Box wilderness, deep in the Angeles National Forest.
